Reestmeander Meppel
We are André and Melanie, living in Meppel (Netherlands). In 2003 we wanted to expand our family with a nice dog. We quickly fell in love with the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. We started looking for a breeder and ended up with Linus and Jeanet Bos from Kennel v.d. Echtinger Grift.
In 2004 we got our first Toller named Luna. She was a beautiful dog and that is why we finally decided to breed a litter with her.
We applied for a kennel name and it was “v.d. Reestmeander” (the river Reest does not flow far from our house, it is a river that flows on the border of the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel. The Reest is a typical lowland stream. The Reest can still freely meander through the landscape).
Ultimately, we had three litters with Luna and her daughter Yeli from her first litter stayed with us. She also had two litters.
Luna and Yeli have now passed away, but after a few years it started to itch again. Toller male Kiran has been living with us since November 2021.
